A quick visit to East Fork Rock Creek in the vicinity of Francis Lake is a wonderful idea, and there's great hiking along the Skinner       Cutoff Trail. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Uinta Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Duchesne River. There's so much to do here at Francis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Yellow Pine Campground is a pleasant site for that. Not much rainfall falls here at Francis Lake; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is March. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Rock Creek; hiking                  is a popular thing to do around Francis Lake; Highline Trail is a splendid local trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is plentiful here in the Uinta Mountains. At Francis Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Francis Lake.
