Fox Lake is pretty dry usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Get drenched paddling on Yellowstone River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Fox Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are

| | in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Fox Lake tend to be in the 0's.
If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Uinta Mountains. Near Fox Lake you locate Fox Queant Pass which is a nice place to take a look at, and Fox Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Shale Dugway is splendid fun, and a lake close by is Crescent Lake. Camping at Wandin Campground is always a fine experience, | |

and an attention-grabbing thing to pop by in close proximity to Fox Lake is Fox Lake Dam.
This location, the Uinta Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Have a great hiking adventure along the Dry Fork Trail. I can't stop,
cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Fox Lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Uinta River, and if you came to camp Hoop Lake Campground is a great location to do that. This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains.

| Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
Little Elk Lake

That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
