In Utah there are many beautiful lakes, Fourth Chain Lake is one of them. That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. A pleasant journey to Krebs Basin is a good way to spend an afternoon, and the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by B-29

| | Lake, and the scenery at Upper Chain Lake Dam is delightful. This lake is so wonderful.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Riverview Campground is a glorious spot to do that; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the High Line Trail. Fourth Chain Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is November. in the 80's to Fourth Chain Lake, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Fourth Chain Lake during the wintertime generally fall into the 0's.
On a fine day at Fourth Chain Lake you can take a hike along the Shale Dugway, and camping at Swift Creek Campground is always a nice experience. Fourth Chain Lake is right next door to Roberts Pass which is absolutely worth going
to, and if you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some pleasant whitewater. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Be careful coming to the Uinta Mountains, you might not ever want to return home
again. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Uinta River, and after a long day outdoors Altamont Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two.
