Do stop by Farmers Lake while you're in this part of Utah. Through the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Farmers Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Farmers Lake. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. There's good hiking along the Shale Dugway, and whitewater paddling is great on Yellowstone River. Campground is a magnificent spot to camp nearby, and splendid hiking is available along the High Line Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Farmers Lake has to offer, you can camp at Riverview Campground, and you
can go for a hike on the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. Farmers Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You completely should like the Uinta Mountains. Farmers Lake is not the only
site close by, Center Timothy Lake is a close by lake, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Evanston for sure. East Timothy Dam is a picturesque place right next door to Farmers Lake, and paddling on Lake Fork is so much fun.

 | Great little lake, no signs of visitors, Fishing was ok. fresh worms seem to work best. This is one of those places you go to be alone. Very peaceful. This is probably my favorite place to go! Red Castle Lake
 | Nice lake, tough hike, and windy. Fished in late July, fishing was fair, but the size of the fish were between 14-19 inches. Wind was really blowing the day I fished here.... |
