    A visit to Emerald Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. One of the main characteristics of the surroundings of Emerald Lake is Bald Mountain; after a long day outdoors Lodge at Stillwater is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. At Emerald Lake you don’t see much rain; February is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is June.
Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains. A great place like Reids Meadow
 
   here at Emerald Lake is too great to miss, and if you came for an overnight stay Butterfly Campground is a delightful place to camp. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Emerald Lake. Why not camp at Bald Mountain Campground while you're here at Emerald Lake, and the Highline Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. And that's not all the things to do here in the Uinta Mountains. A splendid site right next door to Emerald  
               Lake is Bald Mountain Pass, and going for a hike along the Lofty Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
Emerald Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. Whitewater paddling is great on Rock Creek, and a lake nearby is Blythe Lake. High temperatures at Emerald Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Emerald Lake tend to be in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Emerald Lake is in close proximity to Kamas Lake Dam which is a pretty place absolutely worth a visit, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Notch Mountain Trail.
