This place is great, just explore all the amusing things to do right next door to Elkhorn Reservoir. Camping at Rockport State Park is always a good experience, and dry warm beds await you at Stag Lodge. There's tremendous hiking along the Smith Morehouse Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Holiday Hills is a great spot to spend a night or two. All year is a great time in the Wasatch Range       if you love the outdoors. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Elkhorn Reservoir while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Elkhorn Reservoir. Provo River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and wonderful hiking is available along the Union Pacific Rail Trail. Elkhorn Reservoir is located in the Wasatch Range. So much enjoyable stuff                  to do here in the Wasatch Range, too great to be true. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chalk Creek; camping is available at Camperworld Echo Island Park. Not much precipitation falls here at Elkhorn Reservoir; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
