    Why not stop by Echo Lake if you're passing through these parts. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. A great place close to Echo Lake is Bald Mountain Pass, and a visit to Murdock Basin rejuvenates the soul. It is very dried up here at Echo Lake mostly; February is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is June. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. If the weather is pleasant here at Echo  
   Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lofty Lake Trail; dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Stillwater.
This lake is so wonderful. The Skinner Cutoff Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Echo Lake, and the summit of Bald Mountain can be distinguished from Echo Lake. Camping at Echo Lake is fine fun, Lilly Lake Campground is a fine local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Notch Mountain Trail. This lake is located in
 
               the wonderful Uinta Mountains.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Echo Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Bald Mountain Campground is a delightful place to camp, and float down the rapids of Rock Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Duchesne River offers some great whitewater, and Echo Lake is not the only place close by, Blizzard Lake is a close by lake.
High temperatures at Echo Lake during the summer are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 30's while Echo Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
