This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. One of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of East Red Castle Lake is Red Castle, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blacks Fork - West Fork. So many exciting things in the Uinta Mountains, just tremendous. Nearby Smiths Fork Pass is a wonderful place to go if you're at East Red Castle Lake. While you're here at East Red Castle Lake you can       take a hike along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Evanston for sure. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Uinta Mountains. Soar down the rapids of Blacks Fork - East Fork in a kayak; camping at Trail Head Campground is always a splendid experience. East Red Castle Lake gets very little precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.                  But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of East Red Castle Lake. You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Lower Red Castle Lake near East Red Castle Lake; you can have a great hiking adventure along the High Line Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at East Red Castle Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at East Red Castle Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
