This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Fremont River is so much fun. Summertime at East Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to East Lake. It is very dried up here at East Lake regularly;       August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. Nearby lakes? Sure, Horseshoe Lake is right next door to East Lake; the Indian Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Stink Draw is always fun; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Torrey - Capital Reef is a fine spot to spend a night or two. East Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. If you need a site to stay Hidden Falls                  Hotel is a wonderful choice, unsurprisingly you could also visit Halfmoon Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. You'll need more than a day to look at everything East Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pleasant Creek Campground, and everybody loves Boulder Meadows.
