While you're here at Drift Lake you can take a hike along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Drift Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Dam Campground is a great place for that. For the duration of the months of summer at Drift Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's       with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Drift Lake. Drift Lake is pretty dried out usually; the month with most of the rain is September, and March on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Fork; if you came to camp Swift Creek Campground is a splendid site to do that. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Uinta Mountains. Whitewater paddling                  is splendid on Yellowstone River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the High Line Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Drift Lake. There is a delightful hiking trail next to Drift Lake called the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail, and you'll hit upon a charming lake called Red Castle Lake. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Drift Lake Dam, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Toquer Lake. This location, the Uinta Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. There are plenty of people from Evanston here at Drift Lake.
