Drift Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most; March on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Beaver Dam Campground; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains       has it all. Why not pop by Drift Lake Dam since you're here, and not far from Drift Lake you'll stumble on Bluebell Lake which is a wonderful lake. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Paddling on Yellowstone River is so much fun; lots of folks from Evanston come here. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Uinta Mountains. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Lake Fork. Why                  not camp at Swift Creek Campground if you're here at Drift Lake; close by you come across the High Line Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is always a great adventure, and there are other spots here than Drift Lake, for example Spider Lake. Through the days of summer at Drift Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Drift Lake through the winter generally plunge into the 0's.
