Hiking is a popular thing to do around Drift Lake; Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is a great local trail, and you'll hit upon a delightful lake called Bluebell Lake. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains. There's magnificent hiking along the High Line Trail, and get yourself into       a kayak and hit Yellowstone River. Soar down the rapids of Lake Fork in a kayak, and not far from Drift Lake you obtain some perfect water scenery at Drift Lake Dam. At Drift Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is September; the driest month is March. Summertime highs at Drift Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while                  Drift Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Drift Lake is not far at all from Evanston, and Swift Creek Campground is a nice campground here. Drift Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. What a place this is for outdoors folks.
