It's always fun to stop by Doug Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do close to Doug Lake. Why not camp at Highline Trail Head Campground while you're here at Doug Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Doug Lake; Highline Trail is a glorious local trail. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more cool things to do here in the Uinta Mountains.

| | features of the surroundings of Doug Lake is Yard Peak, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The Skinner Cutoff Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is fine on Blacks Fork - West Fork. Around Doug Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January. At Doug Lake throughout the warmest
time of the year highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Doug Lake temperatures fall
to the 0's. This is a nice region for people who like lakes. Allsop Lake is a lake in close proximity, and there's wonderful hiking along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail.
