It is very dry here at Donkey Lake usually; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest       of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Black Lake near Donkey Lake, it's a stunning lake, and don't leave Donkey Lake without first going for a hike along the Hole-in-the-Rock Road. High temperatures at Donkey Lake throughout the summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Donkey Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.
