Just can't get enough of the Wasatch Range. At Dog Lake you can catch a sight of Little Water Peak. So much cool stuff in the Wasatch Range, just phenomenal. There's a forest here at Dog Lake called Wasatch National Forest; Reynolds Flat is right here at Dog Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Mount Timpanogos Trail offers hiking at its best, and a lake close by is Lake Salamander.       And that's not all you can do here in the Wasatch Range. Good hiking is available along the Lake Desolation Trail; you can stay the night at The Spruces Campground. Summertime at Dog Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Dog Lake. This spot is excellent, just check out all the cool things to do right                  next door to Dog Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dog Lake; The Sheep Trail is a wonderful local trail; Westgate Park City Resort And Spa is a nice place to get some rest. Any time is a magnificent time at Dog Lake if you like the outdoors. Big Cottonwood Creek is a delightful whitewater spot near Dog Lake; if you get bored of Dog Lake you could also have a look at close by Lake Desolation. Head up to Alta and strap some skis to your feet, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is East Canyon Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dog Lake has to offer, you can camp at Maple Cove Campground, and do pay a visit to California National Historic Trail while you're here at Dog Lake. Dog Lake is pretty arid generally; through April this area sees the most rain while July is typically the driest month. Don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Beartrap Fork, and after a long day outdoors The Canyons Grand Summit Resort is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Dog Lake is located in the Wasatch Range.
