This lake is one of the great places here in the Wasatch Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Wasatch Range. There are plenty of folks from Provo-Orem here at Dog Lake; there's whitewater on East Canyon Creek for all you thrill seekers. Through the warm days of summer here at Dog Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, usually                  in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Dog Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. So much amusing stuff to do at Dog Lake, so little time. Go for a hike on the The Sheep Trail; The Spruces Campground is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to explore along the Mount Timpanogos Trail, and Brighton has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. Dog Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Wasatch Mountain State Park is a perfect location to camp nearby, and Lake Martha is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Provo River, and Mill F East Fork is close at hand, and is a good site. Solitude is a very popular ski area nearby, and Lake Mary Dam has perfect water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. It is very dried up here at Dog Lake generally; all through the month of April you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Wasatch Range, too perfect to be true.
