Around Dog Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; September is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Koosharem Campground is always a good experience, and paddling on Sevier River is so much fun. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting       stuff the area right next door to Dog Lake has to offer. A brilliant spot to camp here at Dog Lake is Monrovian Park Campground; not far from Dog Lake you'll stumble on Mud Lake which is a pretty lake. The vista of charming Parker Knoll near Dog Lake is great, and don't leave Dog Lake without first going for a hike along the Koosharem Guard Station Scrub Flat Trail. Go for a hike on the Black Burn Trail, and if you need a location to stay Wonderland Inn is                  a great choice. During the warm days of summer highs here at Dog Lake reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's.
