A visit to Docs Lake is always a good idea. Camping at Splash Dam Campground is always a fine experience. Lakes? Sure, Fern Lake is in close proximity. Docs Lake is a location that is reasonably dried up regularly; the month with most of the rain is September, and March on the other hand is the driest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Uinta Mountains. Docs Lake is a beautiful lake in the Uinta Mountains. Summertime at Docs Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Docs Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.

time. If the weather is delightful here at Docs Lake, you can go for a hike along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail, and a great close by hotel is Altamont Motel. On a nice day at Docs Lake you can take a hike along the Skinner Cutoff
Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Docs Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, South Fork Campground is a brilliant local campground, and there are some good whitewater spots on Duchesne River.
