Not much rainfall falls here at Desert Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. People from Price love to come to Desert Lake, and San Rafael River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. Lakes are delightful; Dugway Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity       of Desert Lake, and Desert Lake Wash is a nice location to have a look at. Stay the night at Hillview RV Park Campground; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Carriage House Inn. Just can't get enough of Desert Lake. There is a great hiking trail near Desert Lake called the Gunnison Trail; going for a hike on the Chris Otteson Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry Campground is a magnificent                  campground nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Greenwell Inn & Convention Center is a delightful choice. During the warm days of summer highs here at Desert Lake reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's.
