A wonderful place to camp here at Desert Lake is Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry Campground, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on San Rafael River. A wonderful location to pop by close to Desert Lake is Desert Lake Wash; hiking is a popular thing to do around Desert Lake; Chris Otteson Trail is a brilliant local trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Here at Desert Lake there are plenty of people from Price; pleasant hiking is available along the Gunnison Trail. Summertime highs at Desert Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Desert Lake tend to be in the 10's. C C C Pond is a great lake in the neighborhood of Desert Lake. If you want a brilliant                  time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Desert Lake.
