    If you are in Iron county it's always a good idea to stop by Deer Lake. There's splendid hiking along the Rattlesnake Creek Trail; after a long day outdoors Cedar Breaks Lodge & Spa is a splendid site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Lake; Alpine Pond Trail is a great local trail; everybody nearby loves skiing at Brian Head. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
The Spruce Trail offers
 
   hiking at its best, and you need to pop by Goat Ledges while you're here. Don't leave Deer Lake without first paying a visit to Cheney Spring, and dry warm beds await you at Cedar Breaks Lodge and Spa. Near Deer Lake you come across Spirit Canyon which is a perfect place to go to, and Deer Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pit Stop is a fine local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Deer Lake, you could also pop by picturesque
 
               First Lake; Cedar Breaks National Monument is a splendid local destination. You'll come across a lovely lake called Toms Lake near Deer Lake. There's so much to do here at Deer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Thunder Ridge Campground is a pleasant spot for that. Deer Lake is pretty waterless frequently; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
High temperatures at Deer Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Deer Lake tend to be in the 10's. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Deer Lake. Cedar Peak is stunning and can be seen from Deer Lake, and getting to Brown Creek from Deer Lake is trouble-free.

Hey Rob when did you go and how was the weather?  We are heading out fathers day weekend....Spent the weekend at Navajo. Caught 1 fish on fly rod from my float tube. Weather was nice, wind picked up on saturday. Didnt see alot of fish caught. Will not give up this lake though. I really liked the drive from Vegas and wish I had longer to stay and search the area....
