Deer Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The Skyline National Recreation Trail is a brilliant hiking trail right next door to Deer Lake; a magnificent panorama of striking Birch Creek Mountain is available. Deer Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Butch Cassidy Inn is a fine choice, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Bullion Trail. Kents Lake Campground is a glorious local campground; there are other places here than Deer Lake, for example Middle Kents Lake Number Two. A
perfect nearby hotel is Beaver-Days Inn, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Copes Dugway. Summertime highs at Deer Lake usually tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the wintertime
highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Deer Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
Not far from Deer Lake, you'll find Kents Lake which is a stunning lake; the skiing at Elk Meadows is pleasant.
