    Why not stop by Dean Lake if you're passing through these parts. Dean Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. At Dean Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, generally in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Dean Lake.
Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in the Uinta Mountains.
 
   There are wonderful locations to discover along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail, and Dean Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Butterfly Campground is a tremendous local campground. It is very dehydrated here at Dean Lake regularly; most of the rain falls through September, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Pigeon Milk Spring is a pretty site to pop by while you're at Dean Lake, and if you came to camp Highline  
               Trail Head Campground is a nice place to do that.
So many exciting things to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Do set aside some time for Four Lakes Basin since you're here at Dean Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Altamont Motel. Don't leave Dean Lake without first going for a hike along the Skinner Cutoff Trail, and Cyclone Pass is a good spot to explore. Yeah, come here to Dean Lake for a good time. Get wet paddling on Duchesne River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Allen Lake.
Go for a hike on the Highline Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Rock Creek.
