A visit to Dead Lake is always a good idea. Dead Lake is right by the Alpine Pond Trail, and Cedar Breaks Lodge and Spa is a fine location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Rattlesnake Creek Trail is good fun, and a lake close by is Panguitch Lake. You might want to pay a visit to Castle Valley if you're here at Dead Lake. At Dead Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course,

| | frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Dead Lake plunge into the 10's. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Dead Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mammoth Springs Campground is a great local campground, and needless to say Castle Creek flows through this region. feelings, and a pleasant trip to Dry Valley is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon. Dry warm beds await you at Cedar Breaks Lodge & Spa, and if the weather is wonderful, you acquire a delightful view of Blue Spring Mountain
from Dead Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Brian Head, and camping at L and L is always a good experience. Dead Lake is a location that is rather dried out usually; the month with most of the rain is August
while June is ordinarily the driest month. Meadow Lodge Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at; why not take a refreshing hike along the Spruce Trail.

 | Hey Rob when did you go and how was the weather? We are heading out fathers day weekend....Spent the weekend at Navajo. Caught 1 fish on fly rod from my float tube. Weather was nice, wind picked up on saturday. Didnt see alot of fish caught. Will not give up this lake though. I really liked the drive from Vegas and wish I had longer to stay and search the area.... |
