This lake is so wonderful. Dan Day Reservoir is right by the Black Burn Trail; you're most likely keen on lakes, Mud Lake is one of those close by. For the period of the summer months highs here at Dan Day Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips       down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Dan Day Reservoir night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Dan Day Reservoir is a location that is relatively dried out mostly; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is when it's the driest. Going for a hike along the Burnt Hollow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and don't leave Dan Day Reservoir without first checking                  out Poison Creek Bench.
