The warmest time of the year at Daggett Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Daggett Lake sink into the 0's. This location is excellent, just explore all the fun things to do in the neighborhood of Daggett Lake. Go for a hike on the Shale Dugway, and since you're here, you could also visit lovely Weyman

Dry Fork Trail, and Best Western Inn is a nice place to get some rest. Paradise Campground is a glorious local campground; get soaked paddling on Uinta River.
These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in
the Uinta Mountains. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Daggett Lake is pretty dry usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February.

 | Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
Little Elk Lake
| That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
