The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Crescent Lake through the wintertime frequently plunge into the 0's. Crescent Lake is generally a pretty waterless location; May is when you get the most rain here while February is commonly the driest month. Crescent Lake is one of the lakes       here in the Uinta Mountains. Camping is available at Wandin Campground, and hiking along the Shale Dugway is tremendous fun. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do near Crescent Lake. You could also go to Fox Lake since you're here at Crescent Lake; it's close by, and going for a hike along the Dry Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Crescent Lake is not the only place nearby, Crescent                  Lake is a nearby lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Uinta River. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Uinta Mountains rocks! If you need a place to stay Best Western Inn is a good choice. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Uinta Mountains. Camping at Hoop Lake Campground is always a perfect experience; Yellowstone River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby.
