    It's always fun to stop by Counting Station Reservoir. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Counting Station Reservoir has it all. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Hideout Eagle Basin Trail, and a quick visit to Pothole Creek is definitely a great idea. Not much rain falls here at Counting Station Reservoir; all through May this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the  
   Uinta Mountains. Hiking along the Little Hole Trail is great fun, and Red Spring Campground is a magnificent campground here.
Lots of people from Vernal come to Counting Station Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Green River. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. Counting Station Reservoir is near East Draw which is beyond doubt worth going to, and Counting Station Reservoir is a perfect location
 
               to camp, East Park Campground is a perfect location.
Through the long summer days at Counting Station Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; night lows at Counting Station Reservoir during the winter commonly fall into the 10's. Counting Station Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Dinosaur Inn is a glorious location to get some rest; do take a hike on the Lowline Trail.
A short visit to Bull Spring is always worthwhile, and a great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Downtown.
