A pleasant close by hotel is Hampton Inn Logan, and a lake close by is Pelican Pond. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Logan River, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LOGAN is a wonderful choice. All through the summer months highs here at Cooks Pond get into the 80's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. to do here at Cooks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Western Park Campground is a great place for that. Cooks Pond is mostly a quite dehydrated place; through May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is July.
This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Blacksmith Fork is so much fun; what would winter be without some skiing at Beaver Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
