Coffin Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Uinta River. There's so much to do here at Coffin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Henrys Fork Campground is a tremendous place for that. Coffin Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hoop Lake Campground is a great local campground; since you might be in a lake
visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Dine Lake. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Uinta Mountains rocks!.
Good hiking is available along the High Line Trail. Lakes are great; Beaver Lake is a lake that's near Coffin Lake. It is very arid here at Coffin Lake regularly; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

Chepeta Lake
15 miles away
Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....

Red Castle Lake

Nice lake, tough hike, and windy. Fished in late July, fishing was fair, but the size of the fish were between 14-19 inches. Wind was really blowing the day I fished here....
