Coffin Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Uinta River. There's so much to do here at Coffin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Henrys Fork Campground is a tremendous place for that. Coffin Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Hoop Lake Campground is a great local campground; since you might be in a lake

| | visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Dine Lake. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Uinta Mountains rocks!. Good hiking is available along the High Line Trail. Lakes are great; Beaver Lake is a lake that's near Coffin Lake. It is very arid here at Coffin Lake regularly; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. brings highs in the 80's to Coffin Lake, and the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's; overnight lows at Coffin Lake all through the wintertime typically sink
into the 0's. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Uinta Mountains. Corral Meadows is a pretty location any time of year; people from Evanston love to come here. This lake is so
wonderful. Don't leave Coffin Lake without first going for a hike along the Shale Dugway; if you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some perfect whitewater.

 | 15 miles away Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |

 | 16 miles away Nice lake, tough hike, and windy. Fished in late July, fishing was fair, but the size of the fish were between 14-19 inches. Wind was really blowing the day I fished here.... |
