Sure, Miller Lake is in close proximity, and the Pollywog Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. After a long day outdoors Wonderland Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and there are other locations here than Chuck Lake, for example West Lake. Near Chuck Lake you come across the Stair Trail which is a perfect hiking trail; Miller Creek Cove is a great spot to explore while in the area. This lake is so wonderful. Chuck Lake is       a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Rimrock Rustic Inn is a glorious place to camp nearby; if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Aquarius Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Chuck Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chuck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid                  location for whitewater paddling right next door to Chuck Lake is Fremont River. So much amusing stuff to do at Chuck Lake, so little time. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Torrey - Capital Reef, and Sandcreek RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby. Chuck Lake is regularly a reasonably waterless location; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
