In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fremont River, and Chriss Lake is right by the Aquarius Trail. Not much precipitation falls here at Chriss Lake; most of the rain falls during August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to Chriss Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Torrey-Days Inn       Capitol Reef N.P. is a nice place to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Pleasant Creek Campground is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is a delightful choice; Gresham Spring is an inspiring spot to have a look at while you're here. The peak of The Baldys can be seen from Chriss Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Boulder Mail Trail. There's                  so much to do here at Chriss Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Creek Campground is a tremendous place for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Chriss Lake; Indian Trail is a wonderful local trail. The warmest time of the year at Chriss Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's.
