it completely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Blind Hollow is a wonderful place to go to close by, and Blacksmith Fork is a good whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Hardware Ranch Trail,

Chicken Creek is a great local stream, and skiing at Powder Mountain is one
of those things you just have to do. High temperatures at Chicken Creek Guzzler during the summer months are in the 90's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, typically in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are
commonly in the 30's while Chicken Creek Guzzler nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Wasatch Range. The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail

...gton Lake Trail and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs.
There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.
