Custom Search     Chepeta Lake     Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot. Says Matt Allred Not far from Chepeta Lake you get some good water scenery at Chepeta Dam. Camping is available at Spirit Lake Campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Elk Lake     is close to Chepeta Lake. Americas Best Value Inn is a glorious site to get some rest; you can go for a hike on the Shale Dugway.
