Krebs Basin is right here at Chain Lakes, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Inn is a brilliant choice. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are truly abundant here at Chain Lakes. Chain Lakes is not the only location nearby, Fourth Chain Lake is a nearby lake, and a magnificent location to camp here at Chain Lakes is Swift Creek Campground. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Uinta River; you can go for a hike on the Fish Creek National Recreation

| | Trail. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Uinta Mountains is great! If you get bored of Chain Lakes, you could also take a look at close by Upper Chain Lake, and going for a hike on the Shale Dugway is always a pleasant adventure. Chain Lakes is pretty arid commonly; September is when you get the most rain here, and November is when it's the driest. Chain Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Roberts Pass is a tremendous place to look at. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellowstone River; camping at Riverview Campground is always a tremendous experience. Summertime brings highs in the 80's
to Chain Lakes while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chain Lakes. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's
even more exciting stuff to do here in the Uinta Mountains. You don’t have to go far from Chain Lakes to observe the water at Upper Chain Lake Dam, and great hiking is available along the High Line Trail.

Chepeta Lake
 | 17 miles away Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
