The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Cat Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cat Pond plunge into the 0's. Cat Pond is a location with many visitors from Price, and the top of Black Hills is easily distinguished from Cat Pond. Whitewater paddling       is perfect on San Rafael River, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Gunnison Trail. Around Cat Pond you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. The Chris Otteson Trail is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Cat Pond. This lake is so wonderful.                  Stay the night at Forks Of Huntington - Manti-LaSal National Forest, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Blue Dugway. A journey to Cat Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Red Seep.
