This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. Castle Lake in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Paddling on Provo River is so much fun, and at Castle Lake you can catch a glimpse of Castle Peak. It is very dehydrated here at Castle Lake frequently; April is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. Hiking is a popular thing to do around       Castle Lake; Littles Fork Trail is a splendid local trail, and after a long day outdoors The Lodge at Stillwater is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. All through the warmest time of the year at Castle Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; night lows at Castle Lake throughout the winter regularly sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along                  the Nobletts Creek Trail; Lower Yellow Pine Lake is a splendid lake nearby. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. Drift down the rapids of Chalk Creek in a kayak. Be careful coming to the Uinta Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. The Smith Morehouse Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Castle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground is a tremendous place for that.
