The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Castle Lake is mostly a relatively waterless spot; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. What a location this is for outdoors people. Camping at Castle Lake is perfect fun, Trail Head Campground is a perfect local campground; you can go for a hike on the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail. All the outdoors       fun stuff in the Uinta Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Don't leave Castle Lake without first going for a hike along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail; whitewater paddling is perfect on Yellowstone River. Going for a hike on the High Line Trail is always a delightful adventure; Blacks Fork - East Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. China Meadows Campground is a glorious campground here; there                  are other spots here than Castle Lake, for example Bear Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Uinta Mountains for a good time. The warmest time of the year at Castle Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Castle Lake.
