Castle Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. At Castle Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Trail Head Campground is a pleasant local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blacks Fork - East Fork. There is a delightful hiking trail near Castle       Lake called the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Lake Blanchard is just a very short distance away. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Castle Lake. Castle Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, China Meadows Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and on a delightful day you obtain a fine sight of Flat Top Mountain from Castle Lake. At Castle Lake during the months                  of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; night lows in the 0's for Castle Lake. So much amusing stuff in the Uinta Mountains, just impressive. The Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Castle Lake, and there are some good whitewater spots on Yellowstone River. On a splendid day at Castle Lake you can take a hike along the High Line Trail, and if you've had enough of Castle Lake, Irland Lake is close by. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Uinta Mountains.
