Go to Carl Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uinta Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains. Why not camp at Castle Cliffs Campground if you're here at Carl Lake, and going for a hike on the Skinner Cutoff Trail is always a great adventure. A perfect place to camp here at Carl Lake is Splash Dam Campground, and at Carl Lake you can make out East Grandaddy Mountain.

| | here at Carl Lake commonly; during the month of February you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is June. You could also stop at Arta Lake if you're here at Carl Lake; it's close by, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Stillwater is a brilliant choice. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains.

course, mostly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Carl Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Duchesne River; close by you discover the
East Fork Pinto Lake Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Having a glorious time at Carl Lake is simple. Get covered with water paddling on Rock Creek; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Slope Trail.
