A lovely lake like Landsat A-1 Reservoir in the vicinity of Cajon Lake is a brilliant place to stop at, and Ruin Point is quite close. Sun Canyon Ranch is a great site to get some rest. Around Cajon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls through October, and June is when it's the driest. Through the summer months highs here at Cajon Lake reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are

| | in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cajon Lake. If you haven’t been to Hovenweep National Monument, you should schedule some time for it since you're here, and if you came to camp Square Tower Ruins Campground is a tremendous location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not visit Little Cajon Lake right next door to Cajon Lake, and since you're here at Cajon Lake, checking out Ruin Point is a must. | |
