This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. Going for a hike on the Slope Trail is always a delightful adventure, and Diamond Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Cabin Lake gets very little rain; September is when you get the most rain here, and March is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Cabin Lake called       the Skinner Cutoff Trail. There's so much to do here at Cabin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Fork Campground is a great place for that. If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. Cabin Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Yellow Pine Campground is a wonderful local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail. And that's not all the things                  to do here in the Uinta Mountains. Here at Cabin Lake there are plenty of people from Evanston. Duchesne River is a good whitewater spot near Cabin Lake, and a tour to Squaw Basin invigorates the soul. During the days of summer highs here at Cabin Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Cabin Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. So much fun stuff in the Uinta Mountains, just incredible.
