If the weather is nice here at Browne Lake, you can go for a hike along the Uinta Highline Trail, and the summit of Ute Mountain can be spotted from Browne Lake. Browne Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Uinta Mountains. There's so much to do here at Browne Lake that you need to camp here for a while,

| | Brown Lake Campground is a glorious site for that; do explore Beaver Creek if you're here at Browne Lake. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summer at Browne Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Browne Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Hiking along the Icy Hill Dugway is good fun, and if you've had enough of Browne Lake, Sheep Creek Lake is close by. If you came to camp Deep Creek Campground is a pleasant place to do that, needless to say you could also stop
at Browne Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Browne Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Going for a hike along the Dry Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a
spree to Half Moon Park revives the spirit. Browne Lake is regularly a rather dried up place; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is February. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Uinta
Mountains. During your spree to Browne Lake you'll meet some people from Vernal for sure, and not far from Browne Lake you get some good water scenery at Browne Lake Dam.

 | 12 miles away That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
Chepeta Lake
 | 14 miles away Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
