Brinkerhoff Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A quick visit to Shingle Mill Creek in the vicinity of Brinkerhoff Pond is a great idea; dry warm beds await you at Torrey-Days Inn Capitol Reef N.P.. Brinkerhoff Pond is pretty dehydrated usually; most of the rain falls through August; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Wonderland Inn is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and soar down the rapids of Fremont River in a kayak. During the summertime months highs here at Brinkerhoff Pond reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Brinkerhoff Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Don't | |

leave Brinkerhoff Pond without first going for a hike along the Aquarius Trail; Chuck wagon General Store is a brilliant local campground.
What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Good hiking is available along the Jackson Dugway;
if you came for an overnight stay Thousand Lakes RV Park is a fine place to camp. A short journey to Dab Keele Spring is always worthwhile; a lake close by is Petes Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Brinkerhoff Pond; Stair Trail is a splendid local trail.
