And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the vicinity of Bowns Lake. It's always good to take a look at Spruce Spring, and Bowns Lake is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Oak Creek Campground is a brilliant location to camp nearby. Torrey-Days Inn Capitol Reef N.P. is a great site to get some rest, and Browns Point is very near and is a magnificent place to stop by.       You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bowns Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pleasant Creek Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Capitol Reef Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to stop at Bowery Flat if you're here at Bowns Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Stair Trail. Summertime highs at Bowns Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. Throughout                  the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Bowns Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Hiking along the Indian Trail is great fun; one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Bowns Lake is Point Lookout. Bowns Lake is typically a reasonably dry place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
