Bowden Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. What a site this is for outdoors people. Don't leave Bowden Lake without first going for a hike along the Shale Dugway, and Yellowstone River is a great whitewater spot nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Uinta Mountains has to offer. If you need a location to stay Best Western Inn is a great choice; why not take a little tour to Gilbert       Creek while you're here. Having a great time in the Uinta Mountains is painless. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bowden Lake; Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is a glorious local trail; Bowden Lake is a perfect site to camp, Wandin Campground is a perfect site. Bowden Lake is commonly a relatively dried out site; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along                  the High Line Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bowden Lake has to offer, you can camp at Henrys Fork Campground. All through the warmest time of the year at Bowden Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bowden Lake.
