Beaver Lake
Nice bows. Much less traveled than Whitney, next door. The real fishin' is 2 miles away though....
Chepeta Lake
14 miles away Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
Lower Red Castle Lake
16 miles away Fished this lake in late July this year. Mainly caught 8-9 inch tiger trout, along with some small Brookies, and a few rainbows up to 12 inches. Alot of fish not much size....
Red Castle Lake
17 miles away Nice lake, tough hike, and windy. Fished in late July, fishing was fair, but the size of the fish were between 14-19 inches. Wind was really blowing the day I fished here....
