Utah has many beautiful lakes and Boot Lake is one of them. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Uinta Mountains. A spree to Dead Horse Pass is always fun, and a magnificent place to camp here at Boot Lake is South Fork Campground. So many exciting things in the Uinta Mountains, just phenomenal. During your journey to Boot Lake you'll meet some folks from Evanston for sure. Boot Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains.

Why not camp at Highline Trail Head Campground if you're here at Boot Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Boot Lake; Skinner Cutoff Trail is a wonderful local trail. Boot Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is September; January is when it's the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Blacks Fork - West Fork offers some
magnificent whitewater; at Boot Lake you can spot Yard Peak. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Boot Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Boot Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
