Having a great time at Blue Lake is easy. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fremont River, and Bull Run Flat is a magnificent place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is a delightful site to spend a night or two; Hens Hole Peak is a peak you can make out from       Blue Lake. Going for a hike on the Stair Trail is always a nice adventure, and you can stay the night at Elkhorn Campground. Capitol Reef National Park is a splendid place in the vicinity of Blue Lake; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Jackson Dugway. A visit to Clay Dugway Spring will fill your spirit with good feelings. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Aquarius Mobile and RV Campground.                  At Blue Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls during March, and June is the month with the least moisture. A lake close by is Neffs Reservoir, and there are delightful spots to explore along the Meadow Gulch Salt Gulch Trail. Wonderland Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. For the duration of the long summer days at Blue Lake temperatures are regularly in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's while Blue Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
