Beautiful Blue Lake has much to offer visitors. If you would like a little side spree, try Gabbro Pass, and a magnificent place to camp here at Blue Lake is Paradise Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Moap Lake is a brilliant lake close to Blue Lake, and Blue Lake is right by the Dry Fork Trail. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The warmest time of the year at Blue Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows

| | descend down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 30's; night lows in the 0's for Blue Lake. Around Blue Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Blue Lake rocks! Lightning Park is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit; do take a hike on the Icy Hill Dugway. | |

Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in the Uinta Mountains. A gorgeous lake like Lake Wilde in the neighborhood of Blue Lake is a great spot to take a look at, and at Blue Lake you can distinguish Mount Untermann. Camping
is available at Brown Lake Campground, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Uinta Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. So many entertaining things to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too good to be true.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Uinta River; you'll perhaps meet some people from Vernal here.

Little Elk Lake
 | That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
Chepeta Lake
 | Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
