Nearby lakes? Sure, Wests Reservoir is close to Blue Flat Reservoir; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Dry Wash Trail. Blue Flat Reservoir is pretty dried out typically; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is April. High temperatures at Blue Flat Reservoir during the summer       months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Blue Flat Reservoir overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Mill Site Campground; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Hole Trail. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Dinner Pond is one of those close by, and Elk Campground is a glorious campground nearby.
