There's so much to do here at Lake Blanchard that you need to camp here for a while, China Meadows Campground is a magnificent place for that, and get wet paddling on Blacks Fork - East Fork. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellowstone River, and there's magnificent hiking along the Fish Creek       National Recreation Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Blanchard has to offer, you can camp at Trail Head Campground, and tremendous hiking is available along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too pleasant to be true. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Blanchard without first going for a hike along the High Line Trail, and a glorious close by hotel is Altamont                  Motel. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Flat Top Mountain is a peak you can see from Lake Blanchard; a lake nearby is Castle Lake. At Lake Blanchard you don’t see much rain; September is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is January. For the duration of the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Lake Blanchard; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Blanchard.
