Throughout the summer highs here at Black Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Black Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Black Lake. Black Lake is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February. There's       good hiking along the Pollywog Lake Trail, and pleasant hiking is available along the Boulder Mail Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mogui Motel Campground, and Wonderland Inn is a perfect place to get some rest. Taking a little spree to nearby South Point is a delightful idea, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Black Lake; Aquarius Trail is a fine local trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  Black Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Blue Spruce Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Torrey-Days Inn Capitol Reef N.P. is a delightful location to spend a night or two.   Wonderland Inn, Torrey 19 miles away Sandstone Inn & Restaurant is a complete traveler's destination property.
