If you need a place to stay Best Western Butch Cassidy Inn is a fine choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Birch Lake; Copes Dugway is a glorious local trail. Kents Lake Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and Birch Lake is right by the Bullion Trail. A great location near Birch Lake is Dry Hollow, and if you get bored of Birch Lake you could also check out close by Willow Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location.

| | you may believe that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Birch Lake. Copes Basin is a charming spot any time of year, and a short tour to Kents Spring is always worthwhile. Birch Lake is a location that is quite dry regularly; the month with most of the rain is August; June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious nearby hotel is Days Inn Beaver; getting to Middle Fork Birch Creek from Birch Lake is painless.

This lake is so wonderful. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Elk Meadows, and a lake close by is Lower Kents Lake. Stay the night at Little Reservoir Campground, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. At Middle Kents Lake Number Two Dam close to Birch Lake there are some interesting things to see; the Skyline National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best.
For the period of the warm
days of summer at Birch Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Birch Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
