That right there is lots of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. Don't leave Big Lake without first going for a hike along the Lowline Trail; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Vernal. Nearby lakes? Sure, East Park Reservoir is near Big Lake, and there are splendid places to look       at along the Hideout Eagle Basin Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Big Lake. Big Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kaler Hollow Campground is a great local campground, and you might also want to pay a visit to Davis Hollow if you're here at Big Lake. Big Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the                  Uinta Mountains. Don't leave Big Lake without first paying a visit to Bullionville Spring, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Vernal here. Big Lake gets very little rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Little Lake if you're here at Big Lake; it's nearby, and a glorious location to camp here at Big Lake is East Park Campground. At Big Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's.
